Rodolphe, Corinne, and Morgane Antoine

On July 17, 2009, Rodolphe, France Telecom engineer, just as Erwin Münch, embarks his trailer in Le Havre on a cargo Grimaldi to Buenos Aires. Corinne will travel with his wife and children and Antoine Morgane 42,000 km through 15 countries. Upon returning to France July 14, 2010.

... What a great adventure! Everything happened so fast, I feel like I had a wonderful dream to wake up ... Our camper has held up well. Rebuilt the clutch and changed a shock front in Argentina, 2 tires replaced in Chile, two in Thailand and tires replaced a bearing in Turkey. That's it. No accident, no breakage important. Only fifteen nights spent camping in the winter in Argentina to link our heating to 220 and save some gas. A small incident of health with the two children who took the salmonella by eating pancakes in Laos, but it could also happen in Europe ...
The country that has most affected? Bolivia, with its lagoons, its vast deserts ... We also appreciated the people of Iran who welcomed us with open arms without knowing us and giving us a real lesson in life. And Indians, L aotiani, Cambodians, people so poor and so captivating. Always smiling. And Argentini, always ready to help without asking anything in return. Thailand rich islands and breathtaking scenery. Bali, this lovely little island with its terraced rice fields, traditional dances, the surf beaches ... The children loved whales, seals, sea lions and elephant seals in Argentina, p groins and wild horses in Chile, blade in Bolivia, s Cimmerian and monitor lizards in Malaysia, elephants in Thailand, camels in India. Morgane Antoine and also found that the encounter with others is possible despite the language barrier.
What we have learned from this extraordinary adventure is that despite the poverty and misery, all the people we met gave us a great lesson in life. We met people smiling, open to others, always willing to share and exchange. Are not they who have found the key to happiness ? In our western civilization and our race like rats in a world where consumption, we miss the simple things, no longer look at each other, we become incapable of real happiness, limiting semplicemetne to dream. Bolivian The little boy seemed happy with his flock of sheep across the river, and Indian girls in their colorful sari walking happily with her mother in the head with a pitcher to go to pump the 'water, g oung Indian proudly showed their horses in which transporting goods to the village, the children played happily in the street without TV, and Nintendo Wii. Now we're back in Europe e have hesitated to take the television, we need to take a break. The world is not just wars, floods, murders, bombings ... The world is not what you show on television. The world is beautiful, people are wonderful and interesting. Nothing is how the media try to make us believe . Why not give us the good news? The media say that people interested in disasters. It is not true. We're back stronger from this trip, we no longer see our neighbor as a stranger, but as a potential friend. not judge people as before, we can enrich us with our differences, we open ourselves to others. What would the European advance $ 1,000 for a foreign family in trouble? What we European meeting would come by offering a bathroom and a room with air conditioning ...? Who among us would voluntarily meet with foreigners to ensure that they are well and did not need anything? We are now focused only on our own convenience. Yet to give a smile is free ... and it feels so good! Back in our home, we asked ourselves: what have we done to these poor people? Only q uaderni, pens, bread, biscuits, clothes, a couple of dollars, a drop of water in return for such kindness. I'm going to write books for children to share our experiences and encounters, and donate the proceeds to open a nursery by a French couple in Cambodia, in the city Sianouk. Morgane Antoine and have rediscovered their toys, games, books ... and new friends, but n othing TV, no video games for hours. Time will tell if this trip has given them a great soul. This summer, Antoine asked me: Why do people here do not respond when I say hello? ....
