KNAUF KNAUF is CasaKyoto
the Tuscan company provides technical support and innovative solutions to improve the energy efficiency of existing homes and reduce fuel consumption
Castellina Marittima, September 3, 2008 - As part of a series of initiatives that see Knauf Italy committed to improving the energy efficiency of homes through the provision of innovative construction methods, the use of the best resources and initiating significant collaborations with leading organizations and associations recognized nationally, is part of the company's participation in the project Tuscan House Kyoto.
Sponsored by ANIT (National Association for the thermal insulation and noise), and consistent with the provisions of the Kyoto Protocol, the Kyoto House was founded with the goal of significantly reducing the emission of carbon dioxide into the environment through the re- of the 25 million-inefficient buildings in Italy. The project was realized through the renovation of an existing real property located in Gavirate (Varese) through interventions that use construction systems made available by members, including Dry construction systems Knauf. The aim is to demonstrate the possibility, even with low investment, reduce fossil energy consumption by 30% to 95% (source: ANIT) and reach an optimal level of energy efficiency at zero consumption and zero emissions.
Upon diagnosis of the efficiency of the dwelling to identify the main problems present, such as humidity, noise pollution, high energy consumption and poor insulation, House Kyoto, due to better technical solutions on the market, improves the level of efficiency of the building in 10 moves: energy audits, thermal insulation of walls and roof insulation floor and plant thermal hydraulic, insulation of windows, insulation of windows, controlled mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, solar thermal, heat pump and geothermal, solar and home automation. The project
CasaKyoto, Knauf Italy offers its support in the practical realization of the thermal insulation of the walls and roof and the insulation of the floor. The company offers the most innovative technology solutions to make dry reading light wall cladding, false for the thermal and acoustic insulation and acoustic insulation systems for floors. Three dry systems proposed by the Company for the use the renovation of the building: AQUAPANEL ® Outdoor, Knauf and Knauf Brio ® Vidiwall.
Knauf's commitment is also manifested in the creation of ANIT in collaboration with a series of seminars targeted at construction workers, representing
